Winder CNA Training is a healthcare training school that prepares students for careers in nursing, medical assisting, phlebotomy, EKG technology, and emergency medical response. The school operates three campuses: the Oconee Campus in Watkinsville, Georgia (serving Athens, Oconee County, and northeast Georgia); the Tri-Cities Campus in Johnson City, Tennessee (serving the Kingsport-Bristol-Johnson City region); and the Rocky Mountain Campus in Commerce City, Colorado (serving the Denver metro area). Programs are approved by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC), and the school is an authorized testing site for National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exams.

Programs and Tuition

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The CNA program is 4-6 weeks and costs $1,299 tuition plus a $99 registration fee. It is offered in day, evening, and weekend formats at the Oconee Campus. Students complete classroom instruction, hands-on lab practice, and a supervised clinical externship. Graduates are prepared for the Georgia CNA competency exam. No prior healthcare experience or college degree is required. Students must be at least 16 years old.

Medical Assistant Training (CCMA)

The CCMA program is 20 weeks (368 total hours) and costs $2,199 tuition plus a $99 registration fee. It includes a 60-hour clinical externship. Students must have a high school diploma or GED. The program uses rolling enrollment, meaning students can join an active cohort. Graduates are prepared for the NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

Certified Medication Aide (Med Tech)

The Med Tech program costs $699 tuition plus a $99 registration fee. It is designed for students who already hold an active CNA certification and want to advance their career by learning medication administration. Graduates are prepared for the Georgia Certified Medication Aide credential.

BLS/CPR Certification

BLS/CPR certification is completed in a single 4-hour session. BLS only costs $80; BLS with First Aid costs $115. Students choose between American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certification. No prerequisites are required. Multiple class dates are available each month at all three campuses.

Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

The Phlebotomy Technician program costs $1,599 tuition plus a $99 registration fee. Students must have a high school diploma or GED. The program prepares students for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam.

EKG Technician (CET)

The EKG Technician program costs $1,599 tuition plus a $99 registration fee. Students must have a high school diploma or GED. The program prepares students for the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam.

HeartCode BLS Skills Session

The HeartCode BLS Skills Session is a 30-minute in-person skills evaluation for students who completed the AHA HeartCode BLS online course. Sessions are available on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Oconee Campus. Upon successful completion, students receive their AHA BLS Provider certification.

BLS Instructor Training

BLS Instructor Training prepares healthcare professionals to teach BLS/CPR courses. A current BLS Provider certification is required for enrollment.

Serving the Denver metro area including Denver, Aurora, Thornton, and surrounding communities. Offers BLS/CPR certification courses.

Payment plans with weekly installments over 4-6 weeks are available for CNA, CCMA, Med Tech, Phlebotomy, and EKG Technician programs. Accepted funding sources include WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), GVRA (Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency), MyCAA (Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts), and employer-sponsored tuition.
